November 2019

Stacey & Marco

Festive wedding in Lainston House hotel

The wedding of Stacey and Marco took place in the end of November in Winchester. I was a bit worried about the weather that was typical for this time of the year - rainy and quite grey. But all my worries vanished when I arrived to the venue in the morning, red brick Lainston House was surrounded with the beautiful green grounds and bright red trees which were contrasting nicely with the cloudy skies. There was a wonderful smell of grass and greenery in the air. The venue was already decorated for Christmas and the colour scheme of the wedding was quite festive - white, red and green.

The Bride and Groom wanted natural and candid photography on the day which would portray a laid-back and fun occasion that they planned. Their wonderful ceremony was held in the barn and the celebratory cocktails outside in the courtyard. I then took the Newlyweds for a stroll around the grounds for their romantic photoshoot. Even though we did not have any sunshine or the golden sunset lighting the photos came out beautifully due to the vivid colours of the nature surrounding the venue. There is an enchanting feel to these photos which I love, like they are something out of a fairy-tale.

Meanwhile the barn was transfigured into the dining room with the Christmas inspired table decorations. After the wedding breakfast the celebration went on with the first dance to a live band and the amazing moves on a dance floor that followed after. Just as the couple wanted their wedding photos turned out unstrained and easy yet full of real emotions depicting the essence of their very special November day.
